Flux Lag

"Change is constant. But your nervous system doesn't update in real time—it lags."

What Is Flux Lag?

Reality shifts constantly—relationships change, circumstances evolve, bodies age. But your internal model of "how things are" often stays fixed.

This creates a gap. And in that gap, stress builds. Not because something is wrong now—but because you're still operating on an old map.

Common Examples
  • A relationship ended, but you're still planning around it
  • Your career changed, but your identity hasn't caught up
  • Your body has changed, but you expect old performance
  • A loss happened, but you haven't let your system register it
The Practice

When stress spikes without clear cause, ask: "What change has already happened that I haven't accepted yet?"
