Glossary
Final Edition language. One loop, one vocabulary.
- BRAKE
- Catching autopilot in the gap before an impulse turns into a move.
- NOTICE
- Registering body, thoughts, feelings, urges, and situation, without following them yet.
- DROP
- Letting go of a single grip, in body or mind, so Friction eases. It is not giving up, agreeing, or ceasing to care.
- RESET
- A brief way back toward Baseline through the body: look around, feel support, move, or breathe softly.
- ZERO
- Just enough room inside that the reaction no longer gets to decide your next move alone.
- CHOOSE
- Making the Next Right Action from the clearest state you can reach right now.
- FRICTION
- Added drag, inside or around you, that eats Bandwidth and slows your return.
- BANDWIDTH
- How much capacity you have left for attention, feeling, thought, and decisions.
- BASELINE
- How you normally function when you are not strongly activated.
- RETURN TIME
- The time from a trigger until you can make a useful choice again.
- HOLD TIME
- How long you stay steady after returning, before reactivity pulls you off again.
- NEXT RIGHT ACTION
- The smallest step you can own right now. Not the ideal step, and not the full fix.
- TIME COMPRESSION
- Practising at Macro, Micro, and Nano scales so slower work feeds the one-second skill.
- FLUX LAG
- The gap between the moment things change and the moment your mind catches up.
- RESISTANCE
- The extra struggle against what is already here or already over.
- DATA VIEW
- Stating the facts of what happened before they become a story about who you are.
- HOOK
- Something you care about that now feels like a condition for being okay.
- ALIGN
- Closing the gap between your words, your actions, and what you can truly support.
- FOCUS
- Cutting needless scatter and practising bringing attention back.
- EXIT STATE
- The state you take with you when one situation ends and the next begins.
- ZERO LOOP
- BRAKE → NOTICE → DROP → RESET → ZERO → CHOOSE.
